The United States will allocate additional $100 million to provide civil security assistance to Ukraine, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on March 26.

The funds will be used to provide border security, sustain law enforcement functions and protect the government infrastructure in Ukraine amid the ongoing Russian military aggression.

“The United States continues to stand with the community of nations backing the people and government of Ukraine as they defend their democracy and country,” Blinken said.

The US State Secretary further urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to withdraw forces from Ukraine, noting the United States was ‘committed to pursuing accountability for war crimes.’
