US unveils $250 mln military aid package for Ukraine

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has announced a military aid package of $250 million to Ukraine, marking the final such assistance from Washington in 2023.
This aid package aims to bolster Ukraine’s defenses against Russian aggression and includes an array of essential equipment. Noteworthy items in the package consist of additional air defenses, artillery ammunition, anti-tank weapons, and various other supplies.
Key components of the aid package encompass additional ammunition for the NASAMS air defense systems, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, air defense system components, and supplementary ammunition for HIMARS.
Furthermore, the package comprises 155 mm and 105 mm caliber artillery shells, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, over 15 million cartridges for small arms, explosive ammunition, as well as spare parts, medical equipment, maintenance tools, and other essential support equipment.
