US urges Russia to ease tensions with Ukraine

The United States of America calls on the Russian Federation to respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, and not to provoke or increase tensions.
This was stated by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby, according to the press service of the US military.
According to him, at the moment it is difficult to talk about Russia's intentions, there is a buildup of military forces by this country in Crimea and in other areas in southeastern Ukraine on the Ukrainian-Russian border, but the United States continues to monitor the situation.
"We continue to call for a ceasefire, which was also called for by the Minsk agreements, and then … to reduce tensions, to de-escalate," Kirby said.
