The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA) has announced the deportation of 26 foreign nationals following coordinated efforts between the Ministry’s Migration Department and other relevant units.

According to the statement on Tuesday, the deported individuals included citizens of India, Turkey, China, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Jordan, and Chad. The MIA said that, in accordance with current legislation, all deported individuals have been issued entry bans to Georgia.

“The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. Its mandate includes identifying foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal grounds and carrying out deportation procedures,” the ministry said in its official statement.
