Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) on Tuesday reported that 27 foreign nationals had been deported from the country following coordinated operations conducted by the Migration Department and other relevant divisions of the ministry.

The MIA said the deported individuals were citizens of India, Iraq, Egypt, Bangladesh, China, Cameroon, Azerbaijan, Angola, Ghana, Pakistan, and Turkey. The ministry added that, in accordance with Georgian law, all deported individuals had been banned from re-entering the country.

“As a result of complex measures carried out in recent days, 27 citizens of foreign countries have been deported from Georgia. In line with the applicable legislation, those individuals have been prohibited from entering Georgia again,” the ministry said in an official statement.
