Along with hospitals, clinics and other vaccination centres, getting the coronavirus jab in Tbilisi will be available in busses with special medical equipment, Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze stated earlier today.
The busses will be present in Varketili, Gldani and Vagzali areas of the capital city at the initial stage.
Tikaradze said that making vaccination centres in busses is an ‘international practice’ and it aims to boost the vaccination process in the country.
“We have decided to launch the project in Tbilisi in the areas which have less vaccination centres,” Tikaradze said.
Georgia has reported 4,031 new cases of coronavirus, 4,585 recoveries and 73 deaths in the past 24 hours.
1,095,069 have been vaccinated in the country with 3,7 million population since March 2021 with their one dose of the vaccine, while 345,315 have been completely vaccinated.
