US Vice President JD Vance on Friday said Washington seeks to ensure Ukraine’s territorial integrity and prevent Russia from occupying the entire country as part of any potential peace agreement.

Vance noted he and President Donald Trump had held “several good conversations” with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and pledged the United States would continue working toward peace.

“I think Zelenskyy and I are largely aligned on this issue, though we do have some disagreements. Of course, we want to protect Ukraine’s territorial integrity. We do not want Russia to conquer the entire country. We also want the killings to stop, and we believe the war has reached a stage where neither side can achieve more on the battlefield”, Vance said.

He added that halting the bloodshed and finding a peaceful resolution would be in everyone’s best interest, including that of the United States.
