The Labor Inspection of Georgia has cited the violation of safety regulation as a preliminary reason for the recent explosion in Tkibuli mine which claimed one live and left eight others seriously injured. 

Work has been temporarily suspended in certain sections of the coal mine. 

Three of the eight injured workers are undergoing treatment in ICU. 

They were transported to Tbilisi earlier today, shortly after the incident late yesterday.
