Russian journalist Vladimir Pozner and his entourage were fined for violating covid restrictions.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, there were 41 people in the delegation, the police brought 32 people to administrative responsibility for violating the rules of isolation and quarantine. Nine people did not violate the regulation, – they say in the department.
Posner arrived in Tbilisi to celebrate his birthday. In the evening, the celebrity and his friends gathered for a dinner at the Tbilisi Vinotel.
At the same time, civic activists and politicians gathered at Vinotel who were outraged that a well-known journalist who did not recognize the territorial integrity of Georgia was allowed into the country, and that he was allowed to host a social event, despite strict regulations. As a result, Posner and his guests left the territory with the help of the police, but the protesters continued the action at a new location, near the Rooms hotel.
Posner and his entourage left Georgia this morning on an Airzena charter flight.
