Kirby specified that these ballistic missiles have a range of 900 kilometers and were utilized in rocket attacks on Ukraine’s territory on December 30 and January 2.
The US official also disclosed that Russia is currently engaged in negotiations for the acquisition of ballistic missiles from Iran.
In light of these developments, Kirby has called on Congress to approve over $60 billion in new aid funding for Ukraine.
North Korea is aligned with Russia in the conflict against Ukraine, providing military support to the aggressor nation.
Reports from September indicated that North Korea supplied Russia with 152 mm artillery shells and ‘Katyusha’ type missiles.
Subsequently, in November, Western journalists reported the transfer of one million artillery shells from Pyongyang to the Russian military.Further concerns have been raised as South Korea’s military suggested that North Korea may transfer short-range ballistic missiles to Russia.
