Giorgi Vashadze, a head of  Strategy Agmashenebeli opposition party, on Wednesday said that “neither the US, nor the EU” would act or impose sanctions on the founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Bidzina Ivanishvili, if the domestic opposition were unable to unite for common goals.

In response to the recent judgment of the Tbilisi court of appeals, which left the head of the opposition-minded Mtavari channel Nika Gvaramia in custody, Vashadze said that “all of us” would be arrested, “if we fail to take joint actions”.

Vashadze, along with Droa and Girchi – more Freedom opposition groups had agreed on a joint action plan “to change the current authorities”, calling on all “pro-European” parties to join them.
