Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava spoke at a briefing in the government administration about the dynamics after the resumption of regular flights.

According to the minister, several airlines have resumed flights, and several more low-cost airlines are entering the Georgian aviation market.

“I want to provide a small report to our population. As you know, since February 1, by the decision of the Interdepartmental Coordination Council, we have canceled restrictions on international flights, in particular, on regular flights. Today we have the following picture: Ukraine International Airlines has resumed flights to Georgia with a frequency of two flights a week since February, Fly Dubai – four flights a week, Air Arabia – two flights a week, and from mid-March, Buta Airways will be added , which will operate flights in the direction of Baku-Tbilisi-Baku, three times a week. It is a low cost airline. Air Astana and the Kazakh low-cost airline Fly Aristan will also fly, – said Natia Turnava.

According to her, as a result of the lifting of restrictions on flights, some airlines have increased the frequency of flights.
