Zelenskyy: large-scale attack could take place within 48 hours, Russia has prepared missiles

Russia has already prepared missiles for a new attack on Ukraine, which could take place within 48 hours, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

“From intelligence reports and our partners, we know that the Russians have prepared missiles for a new large-scale strike on Ukraine. This strike could happen today; the information is that it could take place within 48 hours,” Zelenskyy said.

He urged Ukrainians to take precautions and pay attention to air raid sirens.

The President said that strengthening air defence remains the top priority through which Ukraine’s partners can support Kyiv.

“All agreements must be fulfilled - they must be fulfilled immediately. Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry and all our diplomats must act faster and Ukraine’s needs must be communicated more loudly to the world, because these are real needs aimed at protecting lives,” Zelenskyy said.

He added key partner countries are increasingly recognising the reality of the situation in Ukraine, including Russia’s attacks and efforts to prolong the war.
