Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said Ukrainian intelligence has obtained “irrefutable evidence” that Russia is providing intelligence support to Iran.
Zelenskyy added the information was presented in a report by Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Oleh Ivashchenko.
“We have undeniable proof that the Russians continue to supply intelligence data to the Iranian regime,” he said.
The President added that Moscow is using its electronic and radio intelligence capabilities, as well as information related to the interactions of partners in the Middle East.
Earlier in March, The Washington Post reported that Russia had shared intelligence with Iran regarding the location of US military facilities in the region.
However, Russian President Vladimir Putin denied such claims in a conversation with US President Donald Trump, according to US special envoy Steve Witkoff.
Trump later suggested that Russia may be providing Iran with “limited assistance”.
Zelenskyy had previously stated on 15 March that Russia supplied Iran with drones and information about US military bases.
