Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday arrived in Brussels for a bilateral meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
The two leaders will later join an online session of the so-called “coalition of the willing.”
On Monday, Zelenskyy is set to travel to Washington for talks with US President Donald Trump, who invited him to the White House following Friday’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
Zelenskyy will be accompanied in Washington by European leaders, including the German Chancellor, the Presidents of France and Finland, the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom and Italy, the President of the European Commission, and NATO’s Secretary General.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said discussions at the White House would focus on peace efforts, security guarantees, territorial issues, and continued support for Ukraine.
