Zelenskyy rebukes Trump's "children fighting" analogy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has strongly rejected US President Donald Trump's comparison of the Russian invasion to children fighting in a park. In an interview with ABC, Zelenskyy said, "We are not kids with Putin at the playground in the park. He is a murderer who came to this park to kill the kids."

Zelenskyy emphasized that those far from the conflict, including Trump, cannot fully comprehend the pain Ukrainians are experiencing. "It’s not about President Trump. It’s about any person thousands of miles away — they cannot feel and understand this pain," he said.

The Ukrainian leader also highlighted that 631 children have died since Russia launched its full-scale invasion.

Trump previously described the conflict as two children fighting "like crazy," saying sometimes it’s better to let them fight before intervening.
