Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday said there are “unresolved issues” between Ukraine and Georgia following a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, stressing the importance of continued dialogue.

In a post on social media, Zelenskyy said the talks underscored the need to maintain communication at all levels between the two countries.

“I had a meeting with Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. There are indeed unresolved issues between our states. It is important that dialogue continues at all levels,” he wrote.

Zelenskyy added that Ukraine respects Georgia’s sovereignty and people, and intends to continue cooperation in the future.

“Ukraine has always respected and continues to respect Georgia, its sovereignty and its people. We will continue our cooperation going forward,” he said.
