Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Russia may be preparing a new large-scale, combined attack on Ukraine in the near future, taking advantage of severe winter conditions.

“We have intelligence indicating that the Russians are preparing a major strike. Drones will be used to weaken air defences and missile systems. They want to exploit the cold,” Zelenskyy said, urging Ukrainians to stay vigilant and protect themselves.

The Ukrainian leader’s warning comes after Russia carried out fresh strikes overnight on Odesa, damaging infrastructure and residential buildings. Part of the district remains without electricity, with specialists working to restore services.

Russian drones also targeted Kyiv, where debris fell near an uninhabited building and a residential block, according to local authorities.
