Zelenskyy: all necessary forces mobilised to investigate, hunt down Parubiy’s killer

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday pledged that all available resources were being used to investigate the murder of former Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy and to track down the perpetrator.

“Andriy Parubiy has been killed. I extend my condolences to his family and friends. All necessary forces and means are engaged in the investigation and in the search for the killer,” Zelenskyy said.

He added Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko and Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko briefed him on the initial circumstances of the “horrific killing” in Lviv.

Parubiy was shot multiple times in Lviv earlier the day and died before emergency medics arrived. Police confirmed investigative teams were working at the scene and that all efforts were underway to identify and apprehend the shooter.
