Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said there has been no real progress towards peace following talks in the United States, accusing Russia of showing no willingness to engage in negotiations.

Speaking after receiving a report from Ukraine’s delegation, Zelenskyy stressed that Kyiv and its partners must continue diplomatic efforts to push Moscow towards talks.

“Unfortunately, there is no real movement yet, Russia does not want to move towards peace,” he said.

He added that the Kremlin may be using the negotiation process to buy time and gather additional resources.

Zelenskyy also pointed to continued Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities, including attacks on Lviv and other western regions.

“Global security must be ensured, this is our goal and it will be achieved. We will respond to these attacks, without fail,” he said.
