Zelenskyy: all efforts must aim at achieving just peace, guaranteed security

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday said all ongoing diplomatic initiatives related to Russia’s war against Ukraine must focus on achieving a “just peace” and ensuring guaranteed security.

“The war must end, there is no alternative to peace,” Zelenskyy said during a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

He added that Russia must understand it “will receive no rewards” for waging war.

Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine relied on the strength of Turkish diplomacy, highlighting Turkey’s active involvement in the “coalition of the willing”, particularly in its maritime dimension.

“Everyone understands the importance of Black Sea security, and ensuring such security is only possible together with Turkey,” he stated.
