Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday said a batch of PAC-3 missiles for the MIM-104 Patriot air defence system promised during the latest Ramstein Format Meeting has already arrived in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy said the German portion of the missiles was delivered to the country on March 10. In total, allies agreed during the most recent meeting to transfer about 35 missiles of this type.

Zelenskyy said the delivery was the result of joint efforts by several partner countries.

“This is one of the air defence packages we have been discussing with our partners from time to time. We wanted more, and that has happened. The German part of these missiles arrived yesterday, and I thank you for that,” the president said.

He added that although Ukraine still needs more ammunition, each such delivery is critically important for protecting the country’s airspace.
