Russia will inevitably face consequences for its continued strikes on peaceful Ukrainian cities, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Tuesday.

“We will definitely respond to Russia’s strikes. Today, military reports were published, including on our diplomatic countermeasures. We will continue - fully justifiably - to destroy Russian logistics, Russian fuel infrastructure, and everything that serves Russia’s war,” Zelenskyy stated.

He stressed that Moscow bears full responsibility for prolonging the war. According to Zelenskyy, international partners, including the United States, are sending the “right signals” by recognising that only force can compel Russia to engage in genuine negotiations.

“The world knows that only Russia is guilty of prolonging the war. The Russians will not stop without strong pressure; on the contrary, they are trying to intensify their aggression,” the President added.

His remarks came after a wave of overnight Russian attacks when Russian forces launched a large-scale strike on the town of Bobrovytsia in Chernihiv region, damaging energy infrastructure. Rail infrastructure in the region was hit twice.

Russia also attacked Kharkiv with Shahed drones and targeted the city of Dnipro, where several fires broke out. A medical center and a children’s dental clinic were damaged. Nearly 30 people were injured and one person was killed.
