Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday vowed that Russia would face retaliation for its overnight large-scale attack on Kyiv, which has killed at least 23 people and injured around 100 others.
Speaking at the site of the strike in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district, Zelenskyy said Moscow would be held accountable for the attack.
"Russia will receive a response for today's attack on Kyiv – that is certain," he said.
The President added that Kyiv remained committed to achieving a just peace and a fair end to the war.
"And until that happens, there will be just responses," he said.
Russia launched another large-scale combined missile and drone attack on Ukraine overnight, with Kyiv identified as the primary target.
According to the latest official figures, the attack killed at least 23 people and injured around 100 others, including three infants and one teenager. Rescue operations remain ongoing.
