Following a series of Russian strikes on critical infrastructure across several regions of Ukraine, the situation remains difficult, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, noting that energy workers and repair crews are working around the clock to restore electricity, heating, and water supplies.

Zelenskyy stated that rebuilding normal life after constant Russian attacks is a “titanic but extremely important task,” thanking all specialists involved in post-strike recovery efforts.

The Ukrainian President added Russia launched nearly 1,100 attack drones, more than 890 guided aerial bombs, and over 50 missiles of various types, including ballistic and cruise missiles, against Ukraine over the past week alone.

He highlighted that the strikes were deliberately aimed not at military targets, but at energy facilities and residential buildings.

“They deliberately waited for freezing temperatures to worsen conditions for our people. This is deliberate, cynical Russian terror against civilians,” Zelenskyy said, thanking mobile fire units and air defence personnel for protecting the country “day and night”.

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine needs sustained international support for its defence, as well as coordinated diplomacy to achieve peace, expressing gratitude to partners working alongside Ukraine toward that goal.

In recent days, Russian forces have carried out multiple strikes across Ukraine, leaving hundreds of civilians without electricity and heating after attacks on energy infrastructure.
