Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday said Russia is preparing an additional military mobilisation campaign to compensate for heavy losses suffered during the war in Ukraine.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian intelligence is receiving increasing amounts of internal information from Russia indicating preparations for a new wave of mobilisation.

“The Russian political leadership has set the goal of increasing the occupation contingent. We are talking about at least tens of thousands of people,” Zelenskyy said.

He added that Moscow’s actions demonstrate that Russia is “not preparing for real diplomacy.”

The Ukrainian President also stated that Kyiv would share the information it possesses with international partners, stressing that global pressure remains necessary to push Russia toward ending the war.

“Russia must end the war and the world has leverage to influence this,” Zelenskyy said.
