Zelenskyy warns Russia is preparing new massive strikes on Ukraine

Ukrainian intelligence has reported that Russia is preparing to launch new large-scale attacks on Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday.

Zelenskyy added Ukraine is currently sharing intelligence assessments with its partners and holding urgent discussions on the supply of air defence missiles and systems, which he said are needed.

“We currently have intelligence information that the Russians are preparing new massive strikes. We are speaking frankly with our partners about air defence missiles and systems that we urgently require,” the President said.

Zelenskyy noted that while significant efforts are being made at the level of the Ministry of Defence, existing stockpiles remain insufficient.

He also urged citizens to take air raid warnings seriously and to support those around them who may need help. “Please pay attention to air raid sirens. Please help those near you who are alone and in need of your support,” he said.

Ukraine’s energy sector is facing a difficult situation amid continued Russian attacks on energy infrastructure and severe winter conditions.
