Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine’s future actions will depend on developments overnight and tomorrow, warning that if Russia continues its attacks, Ukrainian defence forces will respond “in kind”.

The President thanked countries and leaders that have supported Ukraine and backed its proposal for a full ceasefire with Russia.

“I want to thank all states, I want to thank all leaders who supported Ukraine and our proposal to Russia for a full ceasefire. Today we see that Russia has responded to our ceasefire proposal only with new strikes and new attacks,” Zelenskyy said.

The President said that throughout the day there had been almost hourly reports of attacks across several regions, including Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Sumy, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson.

“Not a single type of military activity has been stopped by Russia,” he said.

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine would respond proportionately.

“Ukraine will act in the same way. Based on the situation this night and tomorrow, we will also determine our fully fair responses,” he said.
