Zelenskyy says Ukraine to receive Patriot missiles from US in coming days

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday said the country expects to receive a new package of Patriot air defence missiles from the United States in the coming days to help counter Russian ballistic missile attacks.

The President was asked whether Ukraine had secured new deliveries of PAC-3 missiles for the Patriot system, which are capable of intercepting ballistic missiles, during the NATO summit.

“I think this was a productive summit for Ukraine. In the coming days, we will receive a package from the United States. I also reached separate agreements with our European partners," Zelenskyy answered.

He added that while no specific delivery timetable had yet been agreed with European countries, Ukraine is expected to receive additional PAC-3 interceptor missiles.
