Ukraine is preparing for a series of important negotiations in the coming weeks, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Saturday, as Kyiv focuses on strengthening air defence capabilities, advancing defence cooperation and securing additional international support.

Speaking after a special meeting on Ukraine’s diplomatic agenda and coordination with international partners, Zelenskyy outlined the country's key priorities, including air defence, prisoner exchanges and support for the energy sector.

The President said Kyiv remains in near-daily contact with representatives of the US President and European allies. Discussions have focused in particular on the delivery of air defence systems and the implementation of existing agreements.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine’s main objectives for the coming weeks include strengthening anti-ballistic missile defence, preparing bilateral agreements on drone production and supply, and advancing a proposed “drone agreement” with the European Union.

“We are preparing for important negotiations — without disclosing details for now,” Zelenskyy said.

The President also highlighted humanitarian issues, stressing the need to continue prisoner exchanges that had already been agreed upon. He said Ukrainian officials had been instructed to intensify cooperation with partners capable of facilitating the process.

In addition, Zelenskyy announced that new decisions aimed at supporting Ukraine are being prepared, with particular attention focused on the country’s energy sector.
