Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday said the country’s military leadership has thoroughly analysed Russia’s updated military plans and has already defined next steps to counter them.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine’s command structure has detailed information on Russia’s intentions and priorities, allowing it to formulate specific decisions for future operations on the frontline.

“Today we had a detailed discussion with the military. Reports from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi and the Chief of the General Staff Hnatov. We understand the Russian army’s plans and priorities: we have corresponding maps, we have details. We will counter them. Forces and resources have been allocated for this,” Zelenskyy said.

He added Ukraine has also agreed on upcoming operational steps, stressing that long-term sanctions remain an important tool to weaken Russia’s capabilities.

Zelenskyy also suggested that easing of sanctions pressure and reduced international political pressure had partly contributed to what he described as Russia’s growing ambitions. In response, he said Ukraine is strengthening its capabilities, including increased use of drones and enhanced activity of its units.

The President said a list of future operations has already been approved and that priority needs for the frontline have been identified for implementation in the near term.

He also thanked Ukrainian soldiers for their recent achievements on the battlefield, stressing their role in defending the country and its citizens.
