Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday said a document outlining security guarantees for Ukraine is practically ready to be submitted to US President Donald Trump for approval following talks with the American side in Paris.
Zelenskyy said he received a report from National Security and Defence Council Secretary Rustem Umerov on the negotiations held with US representatives in Paris on Wednesday.
“It is important that Ukraine continues integrating the work of European and American teams. Together, we discussed documents related to reconstruction and economic development, as well as complex issues connected to the core framework for ending the war. The Ukrainian side presented possible options for finalising this document,” Zelenskyy said.
The Ukrainian President noted Kyiv understands that the US side will continue communication with Russia and Ukraine is awaiting feedback on whether the “aggressor” state is genuinely ready to bring the war to an end.
