Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson to discuss a shared vision for security guarantees from Europe for Ukraine.

“We had a good conversation with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, and I thanked Sweden for its military assistance and support for Ukraine. We look forward to the 18th defense package,” said Zelenskyy.

He also briefed Kristersson on a constructive meeting between US Special Representative for Ukraine, Kurt Volker, and Russian representatives, as well as the latest discussions with foreign leaders.

Zelenskyy emphasized, “We must be absolutely clear: nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine, nothing about Europe without Europe. We are working on a shared vision for security guarantees. The solution must be ready before any potential negotiations, and Europe must be at the negotiating table.”

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine needs fair and lasting peace, not just a temporary ceasefire.
