President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on the eve of his visit to Paris, where he will meet with President Emmanuel Macron and hold talks with the participation of Chancellor Angela Merkel, called for Ukraine to be admitted to the EU and NATO.
The head of state said this in an interview with the French edition of Le Figaro.
“I have always had a good relationship with Emmanuel Macron, who supported me during the presidential elections. But I believe that European policy towards Ukraine should be 100% clear. If the EU and Emmanuel Macron really consider us a member of the European family, they should act accordingly. It's time to stop talking and start making decisions, "Zelensky said.

According to him, Macron, like Angela Merkel and the head of the European Council Charles Michel, helped Ukraine a lot, especially with the sanctions against Russia.
"But the discussion should also take place on security issues. The security of Europe depends on the security of Ukraine. Our country has suffered many human casualties. We cannot stay in the EU and NATO waiting room indefinitely. Ukraine has long deserved to leave it. It's time to step up the work, invite us join the EU and NATO, "Zelensky said.
He stressed that this decision is supported by the citizens of Ukraine.
