President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the heads of 7 embassies, including the head of the Ukrainian Delegation to the European Union, Mykola Tochytsky.
The corresponding decrees, dated April 6, were published on the presidential website, Evropeyskaya Pravda reports.
In addition to Tochitsky, the ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Vsevolod Chentsov, as well as ambassadors to Iraq, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia were dismissed.
The only post where, together with the release of the ambassador, the appointment of a new one was promptly carried out – the head of the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva. On it, Yuri Klimenko was changed by Evgeny Filipenko.
As a reminder, Nikolay Tochitskiy has served as head of the EU Delegation since 2016, combining it with the post of ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg. His candidacy was previously considered as Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
