President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a visit to the front line in Donbas, said that Ukraine would not allow Russian mercenaries to disrupt the ceasefire.

This is stated in a message on the website of the head of state. In particular, it is noted that the president, together with the ambassadors of a number of foreign states, visited the Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka, the Industrial Zone, in Shumy, and also visited a position located 80 meters from the enemy. Zelensky noted that he focuses on these three positions that, according to the commander of the JFO, Vladimir Kravchenko, it was here that there were complications and a large number of violations of the silence by the enemy were recorded.

"We understand what is happening. In principle, we understand that only we need a ceasefire. We understand in principle that the separatists want to disrupt it. We understand this. But the steadfastness of our military means that we will not allow it to be done." – said the president.

Zelensky also noted that the Ukrainian military must respond to the enemy in case of violation of the ceasefire and shelling.

"Our guys know very well: if there is a sniper destruction of our military, they must find an adequate answer to those snipers who destroyed the lives of our military. This is exactly what they do," – he said.

"They do not receive an order from me to respond even once. They have an order to act in such cases exactly as they act. And they respond exactly as they need to respond in this situation," – Zelensky added.
