Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a high-level meeting in Brussels with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa, focusing on bolstering Ukraine’s defense and European security.

According to Zelenskyy’s statement on X, the discussions covered key issues, including air defense, weapons and ammunition supplies, timely deliveries, and strengthening Ukraine’s defense industry. The leaders also addressed Ukraine’s EU accession negotiations and emphasized the need for stronger sanctions against Russia and measures to prevent their circumvention.

Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for Europe’s ongoing support, stating that Ukraine is not alone in its struggle.

”I am grateful for the leadership in discussing the enhancement of Europe’s defense capabilities and the strengthening of Ukraine, as well as for all the support on the path to a just and lasting peace. It is very important that Ukrainians are not alone – we feel it and know it,” he wrote.
