Georgia’s Interior Ministry on Tuesday opened a new one-stop service centre for the Patrol Police Department in the city of Zugdidi, in the Samegrelo region of western Georgia, as part of efforts to strengthen its structures and improve public access to police services.
The centre was officially opened by the director of the Patrol Police Department, Levan Maisuradze.
Members of the public will be able to access up to 50 police services in a single location. These include paying and appealing fines, obtaining permission to release vehicles from penalty parking lots, requesting certificates related to administrative offences, and applying for permits to operate oversized or overweight vehicles, among other services.
The facility has been equipped in line with modern standards and has been adapted to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities, the MIA press office said.
Similar unified patrol police service centres are already operating in Tbilisi, Rustavi, Mtskheta, Gori and Batumi.
The Interior Ministry added it plans to expand the project to other cities in the future, aiming to further increase access to police services and improve the efficiency of service delivery nationwide.
