Giorgi Baramidze, political secretary of the opposition United National Movement, urged the Georgian people, particularly the progressive majority, to unite on October 26 to free the country through elections.
He also called for the release of former President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is currently serving his sentence, and other political prisoners from what he described as “Putin’s imprisonment.”
Baramidze stated that after October 26, Saakashvili will have the opportunity to lead Georgia into NATO and the European Union.
“On October 26, we must all unite, the entire Georgian nation, the progressive absolute majority, to free our country. We must liberate Misha from Putin’s imprisonment, as well as other political prisoners. We are confident that under Misha’s leadership, in the new Georgia after October 26, when these traitors are no longer in power, Misha will have the foundation to write even more books about the good deeds he and his team will accomplish. This will ensure the peaceful reunification of Georgia, its prosperity, and its integration into the EU and NATO,” he said.
