Covid deaths still high in Georgia, standing at 56

Georgia has reported 2,039 new cases of coronavirus of 31,532 tests, 2,192 recoveries and 56 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

26,484 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

The country has had 591,766 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020 of which 556,810 individuals have recovered and 8,446 have died from the virus.

Most of the new cases were recorded in capital Tbilisi - 716, Adjara - 128 and Imereti regions - 321.


5,626 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals, 19,582 individuals -  at home, while the remaining more than 1,000 are in Covid hotels. 

1,610,309 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country of which  675,215 have been fully vaccinated since March 2021.


More than 23 percent of the country’s adult population have been fully vaccinated so far.
