Coronavirus in Georgia: daily cases at 888, 29,029 remain infected

Georgia has reported 888 new cases of coronavirus out of the 21,620 tests, 2,831 recoveries and 17 deaths in the past 24 hours, while active cases stand at 29,029.

 

1,639,678 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

1,594,011 of 1,639,678 patients have recovered, while 16,612 have died from the virus since the outbreak of the pandemic.

 

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows:



  • Tbilisi - 434 cases
  • Adjara - 32 cases
  • Imereti - 111 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 29 cases
  • Shida Kartli - 50 cases
  • Guria - 42 cases
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 53 cases
  • Kakheti - 88 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 25 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 10 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 14 cases



Only 986 patients are currently placed in hospitals.

As of today about 44 percent of the country’s adult population has been fully vaccinated.
