The European Union may impose sanctions on several Chinese companies for supplying electrical equipment to Russia, the Financial Times reported on Monday. 

The media claimed seven Chinese companies may be added to the 11th package of sanctions against Russia, namely 3HC Semiconductors and King-Pai Technology, as well as five companies from Hong Kong, including Alpha Trading Investments, Sinno Electronics, Sigma Technology, Asia Pacific Links- and Tordan Industry. 

These companies produce microchips, semiconductors and other electronics. Sanctions may affect two producers from the United Arab Emirates and one from Armenia, restrictions may also apply to Iranian companies.

Some of the listed Chinese companies are already sanctioned by the US.

If Chinese companies are included in the 11th package of sanctions, it will be the first package of sanctions imposed by the bloc on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, which will also affect Chinese companies.

The tenth package of EU sanctions was published on February 25 of this year.
