Zelenskyy declares strengthening air defense as top priority amidst conflict with Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has emphasized the critical need to bolster Ukraine's air defense capabilities in response to what he describes as Russia's attempt to break the spirit of the Ukrainian people through large-scale bombings.

"Our sky guards are tirelessly working to safeguard our nation. Our entire team of diplomats, along with those managing our relationships with international partners, is fully committed to ensuring the swift delivery of additional air defense systems and missiles," Zelenskyy said.

He underscored that securing additional air defense systems and missiles stands as the top priority in the face of the ongoing conflict.

"In addition to air defense, we are focused on acquiring artillery, such as caliber 155, electronic warfare equipment, new drones, and other essential resources. I extend my gratitude to all our partners who are actively assembling new support packages. Expect numerous updates and communications on this front throughout the month," the President added.
