President Zelenskyy - I believe that today Ukraine is ready to receive the next IMF tranche

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva will discuss by phone Ukraine's implementation of the structural beacons needed to receive the next tranche. The President made this statement during an interview in the framework of the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Decentralization", which is taking place in Kyiv.

"Today I’ll have a conversation with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Mrs. Kristalina Georgieva. A conversation about our situation. I think that in principle we have a lot of things ready. Maybe something is still being agreed between Finance Minister Marchenko and the IMF management. Today we will talk about what is ready and what is not yet. It seems to me that we are at a decisive phase," the President said.

He noted that almost all structural beacons were fulfilled by the Ukrainian state. There are still some specific things related to the state budget that need to be agreed at the middle level of the negotiators.

"I think we have done everything. Everything I promised Mrs. Georgieva and everything we need for Ukraine, we have started all the major reforms. They are adopted. The land reform, the banking reform, the High Council of Justice, the High Qualification Commission of Judges. It is only the first voting, but we also started the reform of the Security Service of Ukraine. I believe that this is a serious set that was not adopted before my presidency, although it was promised. It was not promised by me, but these bills are registered in these or those documents, and we did all this. I think we are ready to receive the tranche," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Among the important structural beacons of the IMF, the President called the reform of the judiciary. According to the Head of State, despite the opposition of some members of the judiciary, this reform will be completed.

"And there will be a cleansing of the courts in any case," the President stressed.

Regarding personnel changes in the National Bank of Ukraine and the possible impact on cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that he has no right to interfere in the work of the National Bank and in the personnel policy of its leadership. At the same time, the President noted that today the NBU ensures the stability of the national currency without sharp fluctuations and also simplifies the provision of loans.
