10 arrested in Ponichala, Tbilisi for drug crimes

Ten individuals have been arrested in Ponichala district of Tbilisi earlier today reportedly for drug crimes. 

The special operation is still in progress, 

Dozens of individuals have been arrested in the district, which is mainly resided by ethnic minorities, for drug crimes over the past several years. 

Georgia has tough drug laws with drug dealing punishable up to 20 years in prison or life sentence.
