18 drug traffickers arrested by Georgian police

Eighteen drug dealers have been arrested by Georgian law enforcers around the country over the past several days, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported earlier today. 

 

The ministry says that drugs in especially large quantities have been seized in a special operation covering Tbilisi, Lagodekhi, Marneuli, Rustavi and Batumi. 

 

The crime is punishable by eight to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
