The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has published updated figures on Russian combat losses in the war in Ukraine, spanning from the start of the invasion in February 2022 to 26 February 2026.

According to the data, Russian forces have suffered approximately 1,263,850 personnel losses - a combined total of killed and wounded - since the conflict began, an increase of 1,360 from previous tallies.

The breakdown of materiel losses attributed to Russian forces over the four-year period includes:

  • Tanks: 11,704 (+3)

  • Armoured combat vehicles: 24,091 (+0)

  • Artillery systems: 37,614 (+25)

  • Multiple rocket launchers: 1,659 (+4)

  • Air defence systems: 1,305 (+0)

  • Fixed-wing aircraft: 435 (+0)

  • Helicopters: 348 (+0)

  • Operational-tactical drones: 147,138 (+681)

  • Cruise missiles: 4,347 (+0)

  • Light fast vessels/boats: 29 (+0)

  • Submarines: 2 (+0)

  • Motor vehicles and fuel tanks: 80,064 (+93)

  • Specialised equipment: 4,075 (+0)
