41 poisoned with food, 231 with alcohol on New Year holiday in Georgia

Forty-one individuals were poisoned with food, while 231 others with various alcoholic drinks during the New Year holiday, the Emergency Management Service of Georgia has reported. 

Twelve of the 41 cases of food poisoning were recorded in capital Tbilisi.

Three of the 12 individuals were taken to hospital. 

Twenty-nine individuals were poisoned with food in regions, while 12 of the 29 were hospitalized. 

Ninety-seven of the 231 individuals who were poisoned with alcohol were in Tbilisi. 

Twenty of the 97 individuals were hospitalized.
