92, 110 elderly individuals get COVID shot after launch of 200 Gel state incentive programme

92, 110 Georgian citizens aged 60 and over have got one shot of the coronavirus vaccine since early November of this year as the government decided to give 200 GEL incentive to the age group if they received at least one dose of the vaccine until January 1, 2022. 

The state budget expenses for the incentive stand at more than 18 million GEL. 

1,260,157 Georgians have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine in the country since March 2021, of which 1,088,111 have been fully vaccinated. 

Daily infections began to decrease in Georgia over the past several days.

However, the death rate still remains high, standing at 40-55 daily deaths.
