Public transport in Batumi will be free of charge for passengers on 12 and 13 April in connection with the Easter celebrations, the Batumi City Hall has announced.
According to the municipality, the initiative is being introduced to facilitate travel during the Easter holiday period.
Authorities also said temporary traffic changes will be implemented to ensure smooth access to the Peria Cemetery, with Sergi Meskhi Street becoming one-way for a limited period.
As part of the changes, Route No. 11 minibuses travelling in the reverse direction will be diverted via Gogol and Severiane Acharieli streets.
Meanwhile, buses operating on Routes No. 2 and No. 2A will travel from Mayakovsky Street towards Tabukashvili Street.
City officials have urged residents to take note of the temporary traffic and route adjustments when planning travel over the holiday weekend.
